In order to raise awareness and encourage more participation in environmental efforts, Sahabat Alam gathered 300 Indonesian young generations to attend environmental seminar delivered by Zulkifli Hasan, Indonesian Minister of Forestry. He asked young people to live in a healthy and harmonious relationship with the environment where there are l a lot of trees so we can have clean air and water. To set an example, the Minister also planted Cempaka Kuning (Michelia champaca l.) at the Manggala Wanabakti City Forest and distributed many kinds of fruit and medicinal plants to be planted at their school yards or home. To wrap up the event he appointed Indonesia Forest Ambassador to initiate other young people to plant trees, share their environmental knowledge and launch the environmental book Tiada Hutan Tiada Kehidupan (No Forest No Life).
